La Ley de Tierras (modificada en 2010) describe la tenencia mailo como una forma de tenencia que permite separar los derechos de propiedad y los derechos de usuario sobre<\/p>\n<p>El sistema se ve envuelto en conflictos derivados de la doble competencia de derechos entre un propietario registrado y un arrendatario, reconoci\u00e9ndose que gran parte de la tierra se utiliza en r\u00e9gimen de arrendamiento campesino (Kibanja).<\/p>\n<p>En el distrito de Kiboga, donde la mayor parte de la tierra pertenece al sistema Mailo de tenencia de la tierra, se sigue lidiando con pr\u00e1cticas insostenibles de gesti\u00f3n de la tierra derivadas de los conflictos resultantes de que cualquiera de las partes no est\u00e9 totalmente de acuerdo sobre el nivel de derechos a ese mismo pedazo de tierra.<\/p>\n<p>UCOBAC, en estrecha colaboraci\u00f3n con los gobiernos locales del distrito de Kiboga y con financiaci\u00f3n de la GIZ, est\u00e1 ejecutando actualmente el proyecto Mejora de la Gobernanza de la Tierra en Uganda (ILGU) en cinco subcondados del distrito de Kiboga.<\/p>\n<p>El objetivo principal de esta iniciativa es mejorar la productividad de los peque\u00f1os agricultores de las tierras privadas de Mailo armonizando la relaci\u00f3n entre propietarios y arrendatarios de dichas tierras.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>En este documental, UCOBAC recoge las experiencias de arrendatarios, propietarios y funcionarios del distrito de Kiboga sobre las tierras privadas de los mailo.
