Envision a world where women have equal footing. A world where the power offered by secure rights to land is shared by women and men. A world where that power is used to address global challenges and strengthen communities.
A global coalition of partners in the Stand for Her Land (S4HL) campaign are working toward this vision every day. From the foothills of Colombia to the mangrove swamps of Bangladesh, and from the informal settlements of urban Kampala, Uganda, to the woodlands of Senegal, S4HL coalition members are closing the gap between policy and practice so that millions of women can realize land rights in their daily lives.
On International Women’s Day, we invite you to learn more about the movement to strengthen women’s land rights, and to secure a better future for people and planet.
